Florida Wildlife Federation and Florida eTours
Partnership to benefit Florida springs
The Florida Wildlife Federation has joined with Florida eTours to promote outdoor recreation and enjoyment of natural North Florida, while at the same time raising funds for FWF's Springs Initiative. The North Florida region has more than 400 naturally occurring springs, and the highest concentration of first magnitude springs in the world! The Florida Wildlife Federation is working diligently to support efforts to protect these spectacular natural resources in North Florida and the rest of the State through education, advocacy and a Florida Springs Award Program which recognizes Springs Champions and provides grants for future initiatives to protect springs through clean up of sinkholes or springs, education/public awareness activities, research and/or exploration, land use planning/management, and other activities to protect a Florida spring.
Starting with two Spring music festivals, the Wannee Fest and the Suwannee River Jam, Florida eTours will donate $10.00 to FWF for each ticket sold for these events through their website, www.floridaetours.com. In the future, more of Florida eTours' programs will directly benefit the Federation. Click on the images at left to learn more about these festivals and purchase tickets.
